Planting berries helps you rank up a lot quicker because they are ready to be sold 4 hours after being planted. Berries Sell for 10 coins in the Market. After being harvested they sell for 35 coins a batch. If you plant enough berries by the time 4 hours is up you can make a good amount of money and really good XP.

Another real good way of getting coins fast is to have a lot of neighbors. When you have a lot of neighbors you can click on their name and then hit "Visit/Help ___'s Farm" By helping their farm you are able to earn coins which will help you plant more crops.
